Lit by Jimmy Lange 6th October 2020
Hello. I recently purchased a used copy of the Manual of the Grasses of the United States, by A.S. Hitchcock. It still had the library card in the back, and Dick Repasky had checked this book out three different times in 1986, when he would have been 30-31 years old. I am in my thirties and in love with plants and the natural world, and I get the impression Dick was similar. The few of us who have made the effort to try to learn grasses can relate what a challenging, frustrating, but ultimately fun experience it could be. Its a pretty small club of people who would use this book. I thought some of you may like to think of the memory of Dick working with grasses as a young man in 1986. Where was he working? What habitats, I wonder. The book is definitely seeing use now. Peace and love to whom it may concern.
